Financial Analyst

ALM First Financial Advisors, LLC is a financial advisory firm located in Dallas, Texas serving financial institutions across the country. The firm has over $11 billion in separately-managed fixed-income portfolios under advisement, and our financial institution clients have total assets exceeding $114 billion.

The Financial Analyst processes detailed financial information and works closely with a Financial Advisor in maintaining client relationships.

Currently, we are seeking a Financial Analyst to perform asset/liability management analysis and other types of financial analysis for institutional clients including:

- Preparation of asset/liability management (ALM) reports;

-Loading detailed data from clients into the ALM model via electronic data files;

-Utilizing Excel/VBA based models and investment analytical software in conjunction with the ALM model;

-Generating interest rate sensitivity analyses, including volatility in economic value of assets and liabilities and projected net interest income;

-Analyzing interest rate risk positions utilizing results from the ALM analysis for clients;

-Preparing written analyses of the ALM results;

-Discussing ALM results with the Financial Advisor and with clients via telephone or in-person presentations.

A candidate must have at least a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and possess excellent communication skills. In addition, the following qualifications are beneficial: experience in financial analysis, knowledge of the financial services industry, progress toward or attainment of the CFA designation, and knowledge of Visual Basic and SQL.
