Angela C. Calvert
Executive Director

Angela C. Calvert is a principal with ALM First Financial Advisors, LLC, and currently serves as Executive Director. She manages the Financial Advisory teams and oversees the Funds Management department. ALM First currently has some $8 billion under management.

Before joining ALM First, she worked at a large corporate credit union as a portfolio manager, responsible for more than $1 billion in investable funds. Prior to that, Ms. Calvert was a securities broker with First Tennessee Capital Markets. Over her many years of working in the investment and capital markets, she has gained a wide range of investment experience and expertise at the institutional level.

As a financial advisor, Ms. Calvert is responsible for managing client relationships. She has primary accountability for structuring client investment portfolios to maximize relative value in the fixed-income marketplace while reducing predetermined acceptable risk levels. An important part of her role is to perform an asset/liability management analysis of each client's entire balance sheet, and to select securities that align with the credit union's precise goals, investment objectives and risk tolerance. After completing her assessment, Ms. Calvert trades the specifically chosen securities on the credit union's behalf.

Ms. Calvert has conducted numerous training engagements at both the institutional and individual client board level. Her topics of expertise include presentations on total balance-sheet management, investment types and characteristics, macroeconomics and investment portfolio risk analysis.

Ms. Calvert holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Mississippi, at Oxford. She also holds a Securities 52 license.
