Treasury prices are slightly lower this morning following a drop in jobless claims. The initial jobless claims number came in at 547,000 vs a median expectation of 610,000. Last week’s level is the lowest since the pandemic hit. Texas and New York led the decline, with Texas seeing a decrease of over 23,000 claims and New York down a little over 17,000 from the prior week. Continuing claims fell by 34,000 to 3.67 million last week.
