Job Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to help us grow our Advisory services. This position will serve as a relationship manager with a strong financial acumen and ability to communicate investment and balance sheet strategies to the client.
The day-to-day duties of the position can be categorized as follows:
- Maintain and expand market knowledge in order to discuss and educate clients on changes in the market/economy
- Present and discuss quantitative analyses to clients
- Consult with clients on balance sheet strategies appropriate to their risk appetite and comply with policy architecture
Responsibilities:
The Director is accountable for managing the firm’s financial depository client relationships. As part of this relationship, the Director is responsible for:
- Ensure ALM First clients are being serviced well and needs are being met
- Working with ALM First’s specialized groups to develop and implement investment/business strategies to fit within the client’s goals and risk appetite.
- Present risk-adjusted business strategies to client board and ALCOs along with individual presentations and discussion with key personnel
- Monitor clients’ balance sheet performance
- Consult with clients on balance sheet strategies and advise on appropriate allocation of capital using quantitative models
- Help clients manage risk by instructing appropriate risk-related analyses (credit, liquidity, or interest rate) or devise hedging strategies to offset balance sheet risk
- Understand all services offered by the firm to better advise clients and guide their strategic initiatives
- Travel to each client annually
- Contribute to the development of new products
- Produce research pieces, articles, and webinars to be used in ALM First marketing materials
- Speak nationally at industry conferences
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in a depository-focused role with client-facing experience and knowledge of fixed-income valuation preferred.
Minimum Education Qualification:
- Undergraduate degree.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to move about inside and outside of the office
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to effectively communicate.

- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/work environment
