Robert Perry is a Principal at ALM First Financial Advisors, joining the firm in 2010. Robert leads ALM First’s ALM and Investment Strategy Groups and is responsible for the development of asset liability and investment portfolio themes for the firm. He also provides strategic focus for financial institution client portfolios that are primarily invested in the high credit quality sectors, and is instrumental in balance sheet hedging strategy development.

Robert has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and bank-consulting businesses. Before joining ALM First, Robert previously served as Managing Director of the ALM and Investment Strategy division of DataTech Management in Los Angeles, and Chief Investment Officer for First Coastal Bank in Manhattan Beach. 

Robert graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor of arts degree in business management.

Thomas Griswold, CFA

Managing Director, Advisory Services

Thomas Griswold joined ALM First Financial Advisors in 2013. As the Managing Director for Advisory Services, Thomas oversees the Advisory Services department, which is responsible for implementing actionable and effective balance sheet and investment strategies for client financial institutions. He also assists with interest rate hedging strategies, and advises institutions in asset valuation to guide trading decisions.

Prior to joining ALM First, he worked as an analyst underwriting commercial credits with PlainsCapital Bank.

Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He assists with Junior Achievement Dallas mentoring students on a variety of topics including sound financial planning and career guidance and planning.

Mike Ensweiler is a Principal at ALM First Financial Advisors, joining the firm in 2009. Mike leads the sales team where he develops the firm’s sales and growth strategies. In addition to sales, Mike manages all areas of marketing and client relations for the firm. He has an extensive financial services background, with success in helping financial institutions increase their productivity and strengthen their bottom lines.

As an “industry insider” with first-hand knowledge of financial institution operations, Mike uses his relationship management skills, along with his proficiency in asset liability management and balance sheet strategies, to identify appropriate solutions for prospective financial institutions.

Mike received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, and earned the Certified League Executive designation from CUNA’s League Management Institute at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
