It was a relatively quiet overnight session with several European markets closed for the Easter holiday, and market participants are also balancing multiple headlines over the weekend related to the Iran war.
There were reports of a potential 45-day ceasefire, but President Trump leaned into another deadline for Iranian leaders to reach a deal by tomorrow night at 8pm ET. Treasuries, US equity futures, and oil prices are all relatively stable to start the day. This week’s economic calendar is relatively busy. ISM services sector data for March will be released later this morning, and the minutes of the March 18 FOMC meeting will be released on Wednesday. On Thursday, the February PCE inflation report will be released, as well as updated jobless claims data. The Fedspeak calendar is lighter, with only three Fed leaders speaking this week (2 on Tuesday, 1 on Wednesday).
