Treasuries are continuing last week’s trend with yields up 3-6 basis points to start the week.
The primary focus for this week will be the release of the March CPI report on Wednesday. Current Bloomberg consensus estimates are a moderation in both headline and core prices to 0.3% m/m (down from 0.4% m/m in February). Beyond CPI, the March 20 FOMC minutes will also be released Wednesday, and March PPI (producer prices) will be released on Thursday. The Fedspeak calendar is relatively full this week again as well, with Goolsbee (Chicago Fed) and Kashkari (Minneapolis Fed) speaking today.
