Treasury yields are roughly 5 bps higher across the curve while futures on both the Dow and S&P are up over 1% on the back of renewed market optimism.
Investors have taken a more hopeful view this morning, buoyed by news that the Trump administration’s planned tariffs may be more targeted, allowing some countries and industries to fare better than originally thought. Today’s economic calendar is light with just the Chicago Fed National Activity index and S&P US Manufacturing and Services PMI. It starts to pick up tomorrow with the release of housing data, and on Thursday, we will see the release of the revised US Q4 GDP.
