Treasuries are rallying, and equities are selling off in response to concerns about tariffs.

Yields are 4 to 5 bps lower across the curve while equity futures are all in negative territory, led by the S&P, which is down 1.02%. The S&P is on track for its worst quarter since 2022, with the index down 5.1% so far. The Trump administration’s tariffs are set to start this Wednesday, but details remain murky, which has made it difficult for investors to price risk. Safe-haven assets like Treasuries and gold have performed well through the first quarter of 2025. Treasuries are up over 2.5%, while gold has reached another record high of $3,100 per ounce.
