Treasury prices rallied overnight on news that North Korea may test a hydrogen bomb in the Pacific, but pulled back slightly after the release of strong economic data out of Europe as PMI data from France, Germany, and the Eurozone reached multi-year highs. Staying in Europe, the markets will be paying close attention to the results of the German election this weekend; Merkel is largely expected to retain her position as chancellor with several headlines describing the election as “boring”. In the US, manufacturing PMI came in as expected at 53 and several Fed leaders will be speaking later today.
