Treasuries are little changed this morning following yesterday’s risk-off trade. The overnight session was relatively quiet, with Japanese markets closed for holiday. European equity markets are bouncing back today as well despite expectations for renewed/additional Covid restrictions in the U.K. and Europe. Fed Chair Jay Powell will be testifying before the House Financial Services Committee alongside Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin today. Powell is expected to reiterate the need for additional fiscal support to complement prolonged monetary support. Later this morning, existing home sales data for August will be released.
